Transcribing Process
Project Initiation – An assigned in-house project manager (PM) evaluates the project needs, assigns a project number and creates a file, and searches our database for the best qualified transcriber. Upon selection of the transcriber,
the PM sends the source documents to be transcribed and briefs the transcriber on the subject matter, turnaround time, technical level of the material, and the intended audience. Once the selection of the talent is complete,
the PM records the due date for the project.
Talent Pairing – The PM also locates the most suitable talent to edit and proofread the transcription, and pairs up these individuals with the transcriber.
We consider the talent’s educational and professional backgrounds, with the majority currently working in their respective fields and possessing extensive
work histories.
Project Supervision – The PM monitors the project throughout to ensure that all work remains on schedule, resolving any problems or issues that may arise.
Editing/Proofreading – When the project is complete, the PM inspects the transcription to confirm that the contents
are complete, contacts the designated editor/proofreader, and then forwards the document for corrections and/or revisions If the client requests editing privileges, the PM forwards the edited transcription to the client as well.
