Our Linguists

We maintain a proprietary database with detailed profiles of hundreds of approved linguists, editors and proofreaders.  When a prospective associate submits a resume to our agency, it is reviewed to consider the following factors:

•     Linguistic skills and proficiency level of his/her native language & language pairs

•     Accreditations and/or certifications

•     Educational background – Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required and 5 years of experience

•     Specialization – Particular industries where they possess special training, insight, or other specialized skill sets

After the initial screening process, several test translations and/or interviews are conducted to further determine experience level as well as any security issues.  Two-thirds of our linguists are accredited and certified by the American Translators Association (ATA) along with other nationally acclaimed professional translating and interpreting organizations, such as the California Health Interpreters Association (CHIA), the US Federal Court and other State and local government and public agencies.
